Some details and clarifications about the rules and some further general information about the tournament:Playing System 16 teams will be divided into 4 groups. The group leaders will go ahead for the quarterfinals. The group loosers stay in the tournament as well so that every team will have six games to play.
VenuePlaying timeThe match time in the group phase, the quarterfinals and semi-finals is 2 x15 minutesThe match time of the placement-games from 9-16 is 1x15 minutes. The final game is 2 x 20 minutes. The games will be held in a 40 minutes frequency. The interval between the first and second period is 2 minutes. RefereesHigh quality and a maximum of fun on the court demands on fine Referees. Therefore we could engage Top-Referees from Skånes Innebandyförbund (www.skibf.se) from Sweden, Switzerland and the German "Bundesliga" who will umpire all the games of FFC.Match secretaryWe kindly ask you to help us in the match secretary. That means that your team is asked to be responsible for the match record and time keeping.After playing a match it’s always the home team that must fill the secretary of the next game. Match rules1. We play according to the valid IFF-rules.The only intended exceptions are:
3. In the case of two teams having the same dress colours the one which is listed as the away team in the official match schedule is obliged to change at least the shirts. 4. If your team is not ready to start playing in time it will become handicapped by 1 goal per minute delay. 5 minutes after the official game start you will lose the game 5-0, so please be there on time! 5. Tying a game after regular playing time in a playoff game will lead directly to a penalty shootout. Three field players from each team shall take one penalty shot each. If the score after this is still equal, the same players shall take one penalty shot each until a decisive result is achieved. 6. The standings in a group are determined based on:
7. The games will be played according to official IFF rules if not mentioned otherwise in the above rules. This also means according to new changes that the ball can not intentionally be passed to your own goalkeeper. 8. In situations where none of the above rules apply the tournament jury has the right to decide. Warm UpThere will not be any opportunity to warm up on the floorball ground (except for the final matches) and warming up before every match will therefore have to take place next to the ground or outside the hall.Match scheduleThe organisers have the right to change the published match schedule. In this case a notice will be given to each team leader which are affected by the change.AwardsThe winner of the Floorball Festival Cologne 2008 will receive a trophy and medals. There will also be an award for best player and best goalkeeper. All teams participating will be awarded with a diploma.Tournament Jurywill be announced soonInsuranceEvery player is taking part at the tournament on his own risk. The participants are not insured by the organizer. Every team leader has to make sure that every participant is insured both off and on the field.General rulesSmoking is NOT allowed inside the sport facilities.Please keep the facilities clean. |
